Week 1: Let It Rip.

I tried to get back in to posting on Twitter/X but it’s just not for me anymore. I thought about some kind of near daily stream where I’d post everything of note that occurred but that seemed like something I could never keep up with.

So here we are with my first Weeknotes, back for the first time since I dabbled with the format many years ago.

  • I finally applied for my Irish foreign birth registration. It turns out that being required to supply original proofs of address in the era of email and PDF bills is tricky. Now just 9-12 months to wait and I should be the proud holder of an Irish passport.
  • I went to Denmark for a few days on a very small plane.
  • We finished Season 2 of The Bear. The measure of just how great this show is comes from the fact that we deliberately slowed down our consumption of series 2 to make it last as long as we could. There are so many great episodes in this series that I think I might watch the whole series all over again. Forks is a particular favourite.
  • M is preparing to enter the era of being a threenager primarily by announcing on regular rotation that he is “huge hungry”, “super thirsty” or doesn’t need a sleep.
